Private longtail, Pig Island + Koh Tan

Our captain's longtail, the same boat and captain as the Koh Tao trip, on the shorter Pig Island and Koh Tan route. Up to twelve guests, your group only. It's priced per boat, not per head, and you get a captain who picks the cove by the day's tide rather than a fixed itinerary.

The captain runs two longtail routes: the all-day Koh Tao loop from Bophut, and this one, Pig Island and Koh Tan off Samui's south coast, with Koh Rap as an option. It's the half-day version of the bigger Koh Tao trip: same boat, same captain, less distance.

Pricing is the simplest thing about it. You pay for the boat, not the seats, and split it across your group however you like. The operator adjusts the rate with the season, so WhatsApp us your date and group size and we reply with today's figure.

The 4-hour route is the standard: out to Pig Island for the photo session, across to Koh Tan for the snorkel cove, then back. About four hours in all, with an hour at each stop.

The 5-hour route adds Koh Rap. Rap is smaller than Tan, half an hour further out, and gets almost no tour boats. The reef is in better condition and the cove is empty most days; the captain picks the spot by the current. The longer route is quoted separately.

Bring your own food and drink: there's a small cooler on board but no proper galley. Most guests pack sandwiches, fruit, water and beer. The captain doesn't mind alcohol and asks only that nothing in glass goes on the foredeck.
