Catamaran Day Charter

52-foot Lagoon, your group only — up to 12 guests, three island stops, lunch on board.

Lagoon 52 catamaran underway, sails up

the captain Lagoon 52 is a 52-foot French-built sailing catamaran with two hulls, a fly-bridge, four sleeping cabins (used as shade lounges on day charters), a galley, and 60m² of deck. It's the same model used by the Caribbean charter fleets — built for 12 guests in real comfort, not crammed-in capacity. Your full-day charter means it's yours from 10am to 6:30pm, three island stops, lunch on board, drinks for 4 hours.

Most day-charter catamarans on Samui are 38-44 feet and carry 12-20 guests at a time. The Lagoon 52 is the next class up — wider beam, more deck space, two heads, a proper galley. At 12 guests it's spacious; at 8 it feels like a private yacht.

the captain has run this boat for 6 years. He's Thai, speaks fluent English, and knows the Gulf weather better than the official Samui forecasts. If a stop you've requested is unsafe that day (most often Pig Island in November when the tides are wrong), he'll propose an alternative cove with similar character.

The standard day visits three islands. The classic loop: Koh Som (quiet, snorkel-friendly cove), Koh Madsum / Pig Island (the iconic stop), and a final beach landing on the south side of Madsum which most aggregator boats skip. We'll customize if you want — Five Islands for photographers, Koh Wua Ta Lap for the Ang Thong viewpoint (adds park fees).

Lunch is plated on the foredeck. The default menu is Thai — green curry, grilled snapper, fried rice, fruit. Western alternative on request: pasta, salad, grilled chicken or fish. Vegetarian and vegan are easy with 24h notice; gluten-free needs 48h.

Booking: WhatsApp 3-7 days ahead in low season, 7-14 days ahead in December-March. the captain also runs sunset and half-day charters on the same boat — see the related links below.

Questions guests ask

Can we drink alcohol on board?

Yes. Beer and house wine are included for 4 hours of the day. You can BYO premium spirits or extra wine — the captain doesn't charge corkage. We kindly ask: nothing in glass on the foredeck (slip risk).

Can we swap a cooked lunch for sushi or a charcuterie?

Yes — pre-order through us and we'll have it stocked. Adds ฿800-1,200 per head depending on what you want.

How does it compare to the half-day charter?

The full day gives you three island stops vs one. You can actually snorkel without watching the clock. Worth the price step-up if you're 6+ guests; for couples on a budget, the half-day or sunset is more efficient.
