The standard private speedboat. Twenty seats, two engines, every itinerary you'd want on the menu — Tan and Pig, Anthong Marine Park, Koh Tao, Phangan. You pick the islands, the timing, the lunch spot. The boat is yours for the day.
If the joint speedboats look too crowded but the catamarans look too slow or expensive, this is the boat. Twenty seats means you can travel as a group of two and have it almost entirely to yourselves, or fill it with 18 friends. Two engines is fast enough — Anthong in an hour, Pig Island in 25 minutes, Koh Tao in two hours.
The Tan + Pig full-day at ฿13,000 is the most-booked option. You leave Bophut around 9, do Pig Island first while the pigs are most active, snorkel at Koh Tan for an hour, lunch on the boat or at the pier, then back to Pig Island for the sunset shots. Home by 5.
The Anthong full-day at ฿22,600 is the marathon. It's the same Marine Park trip the joint speedboats run, but private — you can take the time to do the viewpoint properly, kayak the Emerald Lagoon at the slow tide, and stop at a fourth island the joint groups don't visit. Plan on a 9-hour day.
Food isn't included. Most groups bring it themselves — sandwiches, fruit, snacks, beer. Or we organise a Thai catering through the boat operator at ฿700/person. The boat has a small cooler and shade.
Two-tier pricing: up to 10 pax the base price, 11–20 pax adds ฿1,200–฿2,600. Most travellers fall well under 10 — if you're 6 friends, this works out to about ฿2,200/person for the full Anthong day, which is competitive with joint trips and you get the boat to yourselves.
